The Financial Product Design Analyst designs enhancements to NextGen's products and acts as a subject matter expert on the functional design and utilization of our systems.Design detailed specifications for new enhancements. o Perform market research specific to the enhancement. o Solicit feedback internally and externally to sanction the design. o Develop diverse exhaustive use-case scenarios to test the design of the enhancements. o Work closely with the developers to create specifications. o Work closely with the developer to guide and review the enhancement as development occurs.o Act as a conduit between the developer and the customer/source. o Insure the specifications are updated during the development cycle to reflect exactly what gets coded.o Make specifications available to all other departments to support the release. o Conduct Focus Groups and solicit feedback on all specifications. o Cross-integrate the enhancement into other application areas when appropriate.Test new enhancements from a usability perspective as they are developed. o Identify black holes, disconnects, problem areas. o Revise specifications accordingly to address issues.NextGen Community Forum o Moderate the forum for your application area. o Monitor all forums to maintain a global understanding of NextGen's challenges.Attend NextGen's National and Local User Group meetings.Occasionally make visits to the customer's site to gather information or to help with the implementation of a new release.Conduct Web casts to showcase new releases throughout various stages of development.Analyze and independently identify complex problems within the software.Exercise independent judgment to determine the appropriate course of action to be taken based on the analysis performed and all possible solutions.Take the appropriate course of action to remedy problems and issues identified.Document all analysis and actions. This data is used by management to determine resource requirements and allocations and/or software enhancements necessary and/or customer training curriculum and/or other factors critical to company's operation.• Required: o A bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, or equivalent training and professional experience. o Extensive background in Practice Management and Electronic Medical Record Systems. o Works independently with minimum supervision, as well as in an interactive team environment. • Preferred:o Five years of extensive hands on experience working with EMR. o Work experience in a medical practice setting. o Must be organized, detail-oriented and have the ability to understand and communicate functional and technical information. o Strong verbal and written communication skills.
