Details: Mechanical Designer Job IMMEDIATE NEED!!!.......Engineering client is looking for a few 3-D Mechanical Designers with a broad skill set for a long term contract assignment. You need 7-20+ years of mechanical design experience supporting power plant & other heavy industrial plant projects (process, chemical, cement, pulp & paper, etc..). Our client prefers candidates that are local to the Atlanta Metro area, but will consider all qualified candidates.ResponsibilitiesDesign mechanical systems & equipment for power plant or steam plant (cogen plants, pulp& paper, etc...) engineering & construction projectsLayout, designing, & checking of mechanical systems and pipingEnsure design compliance with respective client specifications and codesRequirements7-20+ years of experience as a Mechanical Designer supporting power plant or similar plant EPC projectsYou need experience with the layout & design of mechanical systems utilizing equipment drawings and General ArrangementsYou need a broad background designing mechanical equipment & systems (pumps, fans, piping, blowers, material handling systems, etc..) for power plant or steam plant EPC projectsYou need to be very proficient with the latest version of AutoCAD softwareYou need to have 5+ years of mechanical design experience with a 3-D software package (preferably AutoCAD Plant, but the client will also accept experience with Bentley (Rebis or Autoplant), SolidWorks, CadWorx, PDS, PDMS, etc..)Complete familiarity with respective industry codes/standards and company specificationsBenefitsPaid Vacation401KHealth Insurance, and more...
