The Lead Applications Analyst uses related experience and technical training to provide leadership for information system projects, to assist customers in optimizing their use of the assigned system applications, to translate customer requests into application specifications, to develop applications and to lend assistance in determining and resolving system problems. Leadership responsibilities also include assisting the Applications Analyst Supervisor and temporarily assuming the Supervisor’s duties in the case of that person’s absence, and assisting in group and team direction and work assignments. Additional responsibilities include the preparation and execution of training sessions, documentation, applications testing, written and oral communication, preparation of routine project status reports, and participation in department customer service programs. This position is responsible for delivering high quality, cost effective solutions to all levels of users. This includes support for both the technology and processes.
